Logistics Data
Visualization System

What is the BENIN Logistics Data Visualization System (SVDL)?

The BENIN Logistics Data Visualization System (SVDL) is a web dashboard, which allows the visualization and analysis of the monitoring of stock levels of tracer products of the different programs (Essential Medicines, Malaria, Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, Tuberculosis, Vaccination, HIV/AIDS), entered on the A7 logistics reporting form, through the monthly processing of data entered in the Health Information System (DHIS2). It also allows the analysis of the availability of health products at the level of the central CAME and the different regional agencies of the CAME.

The various dashboards presented on the platform will provide access to stock status at various levels of the supply chain, consumption/distribution information that will be used for forecasting needs and scheduled supplies of health products within the appropriate timeframes. The platform will also serve as an early warning system to prevent stockouts, avoid emergency orders and ensure an uninterrupted supply of all tracer products.

The advantages of SVDL are:

  • Reduce the mass of erroneous data
  • Improve data quality, consistency and integrity
  • Improve data analysis and reporting of logistics data
  • Improve data availability and visibility for decision-making
  • Ensure better monitoring of product availability and reduction of losses (waste)
  • Improve prevention of stockouts and overstocks
  • Ensure better planning of product distribution at different levels
  • Strengthening rational decision-making in the supply chain
  • Improve coordination between key supply chain actors at various levels
  • Strengthening accountability
